1.) Cound Trout Fishery is no longer Trout Master Water as we have decided not to carry on with the competition. What we are doing is our own Trout master’s type competition called The Big Fish Challenge.
Like Trout Masters the three biggest fish of the month will receive a prize, 1st place will get a fly line, 2nd will get a Snowbee fly box and third will get a selection of flies. The Competition will run from the 1st April to the 1st October and at the end of that period everyone who has caught a BIG fish will be eligible to fish in the final on Sunday the 12th October 2008 where we will hold a £30.00 six fish competition on the Bank heaviest bag wins. The winners will receive a niece Crystal Bowl with The Big Fish Challenge engraved on it and the name of the winner. It should prove to be a worthy competition as many big fish are planned to be stock at Cound this coming year. For any more information call Hadleigh at the Fishery on 01743761114.
2.)This second Competition called The Scott Challenge can also be put on the home page and then linked to the events page:-

Bagged up you must return to the office and under no circumstance are you allowed to return to the water or approach any of the other
Competitors. You have a 3 fish limit in the morning on the boat and you will receive a speed bonus for how fast you got your 3 fish.
In the afternoon you will both be picked together to fish on the bank in peg no. which will be picked out of the hat. Then you move
Up 2 pegs every Hour once the klaxon has been sounded. These rules make for an interesting competition and we find they work well.
